| JUNE 26
Left the Cotswolds on a morning train
to London where we would spend the next three nights before flying
home.
| The hotel was in the
Notting Hill / Kensington Park area, convenient to the
tube. A carnet of tickets (10) gave us freedom from
lineups and frequent runs made it very easy to come and go.
| Our time in London ... either on
double-decker tour buses or on our own ... was filled with
wonderful sights ... many recalling our school history
classes. |

A walk
through Kensington Park ... |
to Hyde Park
and Speaker's Corner. |

Some speakers
don't attract a listener. The fellow with bag in the middle
(picture left) is telling
this speaker that there are free ice coffee samples (Terry on left
just got one). There are some things that take priority over
"getting the message out". |

We took bus and boat to
see the Parliament Buildings ... Big Ben ... Trafalgar Square ...
the National Art Gallery ... |
Tower Bridge
(not London Bridge as some mistakenly call it) ... |
royal guards,
street musicians, Churchill's electrified statue (so pigeons can't
dirty) and No. 10 Downing Street ... |
Canada
House on Trafalgar Square ... |
the London
Millennium Eye ... Shakespere's Globe Theatre
... Tower of London ... |
| many streets,
London's dragon statue, the spire that inspired the first tiered
wedding cake, a Dali statue and a church where the marks of World War
II are still visible ... |

...
'til next time !
| One delightful
evening at the theatre watching Agatha Christie's Mouse
Trap and a most memorable last night of our Spring Fling
attending Evensong at Westminster Abby. |

| JUNE 29
Our plane taxied by the now
grounded Concord. We took to the air leaving
Europe behind ... heading back home with memories that will
last a lifetime. |
